2009 Truro Vineyards Estate Chardonnay

Cultivated exclusively in our own back yard, our 2008 Estate Chardonnay is rich and buttery from the malolactic fermentation and has a light oak flavor after spending three months in New European Oak barrels.  The inherent flavor of green apples provides a refreshing taste and a crisp acid balance with some citrusy notes in the finish.  The wine was made in the true tradition of a Burgundy Chardonnay while carrying the flavor of our local Cape Cod terroir. Bring your own lobster! .

Tasting Notes Aged 18 months in American Oak, this wine is a blend 67% Merlot, 22% Zinfandel and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, which makes it reminiscent of our Maritime Red Blend. The Merlot adds softness, the Cabernet Sauvignon brings notes of dark berries and the Zinfandel gives it a spicy and peppery finish; a robust blend with lots of character.

Tasting Notes This stainless steel fermented wine is a blend of 84% dry Vignoles and 16% unoaked Chardonnay. The result is a well balanced wine with late harvest characteristics of honey, melon and green apple from the Chardonnay. It has a crisp acidity that makes it a perfect pair with lighter seafood fare.
